Thank you for sharing this article, Patrick. I've been looking for electric contractors in my area, and that link helps me know what to look for. It's surprising just how much contractors can vary in their quality, but it's definitely worth making sure they'll do a good job before hiring one.

When it comes to bad wiring or an attempt to put electricity into a room that didn't previously have it, you don't have such a choice. You need a professional. Electrical contractors handle the larger projects and they will be who you will turn to if you need to introduce wiring to a new room or a house you've recently built. Of course, there are plenty of sources through which you can find such a professional, but most of them won't tell you anything about the company beyond what the company wants you to know. Here's how you can choose with better information.
